YANNICK PEETERS TRIO
Double Bass player Yannick Peeters has started an exciting new venture: a trio with Matthias De Waele (Gwen Cresens Quartet, Mathieu Najean Quartet, Anemic Cinema, Robert Jukic, Grand Picture Palace) on drums and Sam Comerford (Thunderblender, Lander & Gorik, Hendrik Lasure & warm bad, Hayden Chisholm saxophone quartet) on saxophone, with which she combines the rich jazz tradition with more contemporary adventures.
Only two melodies decide the harmonies, the drums give rhythmic support, each instrument takes the lead in its own way.
Exploration, tradition and modern sensibilities come together in a pure and authentic form of musical expression.
