With Vegir, keyboardist Dominique Vantomme presents a new album and project that was born from his nomadic adventures. After traveling to see Stick Men in Holland in 2016, he met up with famed Moonjune founder Leonardo Pavkovic (US) to set up a collaboration with legendary bassist/stickist Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Stick Men). After an inspiring studio session, where they were joined by guitarist Michel Delville (The Wrong Object, doubt, Machine Mass) and drummer Maxime Lenssens. The spontaneity and freshness of this sizzling, high-altitude set reflects the equally unpretentious manner in which the session itself came together.
Tackling some unabashedly hip musical sketches of Dominique Vantomme, the band is given full artistic liberty – and with all participants in top form, the music weaves and winds its way across paths previously untrodden in stunning fashion, and with sure footing!.
“A dense album, crazy, energetic, audacious. It sways, growls, surprises, hypnotizes and explodes” – Le Soir

“ This is heavily tasty somewhat dark-edged fusion by four great players who were given the freedom to stretch out and GO! Recommended!” – Wayside music
