In her own words, Naima Joris guess she sings saudade, a mixture of feelings of loss, love and melancholy. She brings a repertoire of both her own songs and interpretations, intended to bring comfort and tranquility to this rushed, confusing world. Naima only sang her first songs at the age of 27. She wanted to escape from a sick society, into nature, looking for fellow escapees, with a mini camper and a guitar. Being a street musician was the initial survival plan. However, a few months later she was singing backing vocals with Isbells in the AB. The camper never came, the trip turned inside. Her voice tells the story of that inner journey, her heart sings the song of the soul.
